Though not universally applicable, drones have become a versatile tool across Agricultural & Farming Industries. Their use has grown significantly in agriculture since their commercial introduction, with various models now tailored to assist in specific tasks. Common applications include:
Mapping
Drone-generated maps deliver precise topographic attributes and land measurements. This geospatial intelligence enables agricultural professionals in crop production to make data-driven decisions for environmental optimization.
Seeding & Spraying
Drones come in different sizes. Certain drones used by farmers and crop production services can carry payloads and custom attachments. These attachments allow for remote-controlled or even automatic seeding and spraying.

VARI stands for visible atmospherically resistant index, an imaging method designed to be compatible with RGB sensors. In a nutshell, VARI measures how green an image is and is used in detecting possible areas of crop stress.
